Our Company Profile

The business was set up by the Director Paul Gray and established in 1996.

Paul has over 30 years? experience in the construction industry with a wealth of experience and knowledge under his belt. When the business first started, Paul was joined by his two brothers Jon and Steve who continued to support and work for the company up until 2010. In 2010 Pauls eldest son Richard joined the Graysteel team to start training and learning the trade. Richard has since become one of the companies? foremen working with his own team of fixers and pathing his way to one day become a company director alongside Paul. In 2015 straight out of college, Paul?s youngest son Jordan joined the company. Jordan started his first few months as an apprentice learning via work based training and is thriving within the business.

The company has a team of 18 highly skilled fixers working at any one time. These operatives are split into teams who cover the south and south east regions. They are all strategically placed around Essex, Kent and London. All of the fixers are trained through the company by Paul and all have passed the CSCS Skilled Worker NVQ. They have also completed annual onsite health and safety training through our client?s projects tool box talks and external courses we have provided for them. Each team of fixers has a site foreman within the team who delegates the schedule of works and programme to the fixers. We have company vehicles and our own tools such as band stands and petrol grinders.

Graysteel has built an excellent repute with its clients and as such built firm friendships and a reputation for works which is second to none. We have worked in both the private and public sector ranging from social housing projects through to new build properties for some of the wealthiest people in the southeast. All of our clients provide us with repeat business and with some of them choosing to solely work with us for the last 20 years.
